For our own small contribution as a camp to BRC this year we resolved to adopt some porta-potties. It’s dirty work but we all knew the feeling of discovering a special porta.

We picked two from the nearest bank at 5:30 and D and kitted them with signs, lighting, fragrance, mirrors, and hand sani. Once or twice daily one of us would head over with a tote to perform a checkup, cleaning, and boost of the TP stock. Fortunately, in contrast to last year where our local bank was in terrible condition to begin with and went solidly downhill through the week, this bank gave us a much better starting point and seemed to be well-maintained even before our extra attention.

For us it was a very practical undertaking as it requires a minimum of supplies and no camp interactivity. I think we would definitely do it again and attempt to scale up.
